The
surface of this residential driveway is very badly deteriorated.
In
spite of the surface deterioration, this driveway was found to
be almost 6 inches thick and quite stable.
Redwood
bender-boards were placed along both sides of the driveway to
contain the two FUSION-CRETEŽ squeegee coats used for resurfacing.
The first coat (darker gray adjacent to the sidewalk) was applied
in a very wet consistency, using a rapid-setting (one hour), non-shrink
cement, to fill the cracks and voids and to level the surface. This
fast-setting, high early strength cement also allowed for the application
of the textured top coat almost immediately following the completion
of the base coat.
Here
you see nicely textured top coat applied. FUSION-CRETEŽ concrete-adhesive/enhancer
has made made this driveway look like new at a mere fraction of the
cost for removal and replacement.
Estimated time required: 6 hours, including removal of the redwood
bender boards and finishing of the driveway's side edges
