 |
A
fiery vehicular accident at this corner location caused the damage
and discoloration to the storm drain/catch basin and adjacent sidewalk
seen in this photograph. |
|

|
Following
the preparation of the surfaces, a FUSION-CRETEŽ "pre-mix" solution
is being applied as the bonding coat between the existing surfaces
and the FUSION-CRETEŽ-fortified concrete that will subsequently be
applied. |
 |
Here
you see both repair and resurfacing concrete being applied. These
materials have been fortified with a FUSION-CRETEŽ concrete-adhesive/enhancer
for increased compressive, flexural and bonding strength. |
 |
Finishing
touches are being accomplished with a sponge saturated with FUSION-CRETEŽ
"pre-mix" solution. This product has also enabled the finishers to
permanently feather out the new concrete to absolute zero beyond the
damaged and discolored areas. |
 |
With
the new concrete applied, there is now no evidence of the previously
blackened areas. |
 |
All
work having been completed, barricades will remain in place for
approximately 24 hours to allow the repair work to set up sufficiently
to handle both pedestrian and vehicular traffic. |
 |
The
host community saved a very substantial amount of money by using
FUSION-CRETEŽ products to restore this damage instead
of the expensive alternative of removal and replacement. |
|
Estimated
time required: 2 ˝ hours. |
