The
lintel has been jacked up to its proper position with the use of
the two jacks seen in this and the previous photograph. Three clusters
of heavy steel rebar have been inserted to temporarily provide the
needed additional support to this section of the lintel. Several
days later, when the repair concrete had set up sufficiently, the
host community's welder removed the clusters of rebar and welded
heavy support bars to the underside of the lintel extending down
into the concrete roadway below for permanent support.
